Gift guides are one of those little things that I really look forward to each holiday season. It’s such a wonderful way to discover books, kitchen tools, toys, artists and crafters, etc. that I hadn’t heard of before. So instead of putting together a gift guide of my own, I thought I would put together a list of my favorite gift guides.
New York Times: The intro makes me happy every time I visit this page.
Cup of Jo: Lots of good stuff in the 2015 guide too.
Aeolidia Part 1 and Part 2: Put me in the other nerds category, because I saw a lot of things I really liked.
Miss Moss: By color! So fun.
Smitten Kitchen: A list of favorite kitchen things. Which amounts to a gift guide in my book.
Orangette: This is from 2015, but that doesn’t make it any less fantastic. And I bet if you check back closer to Christmas Molly will have a new guide out.
The Artful Parent: This is a list of Jean’s favorite open ended toys. She has a lot more ideas in the archives. I especially like her ideas for 101 gifts that kids can make.
Lastly, I do have one small gift suggestion:
Did you know that I have gift certificates available? They are printed on thick sturdy card stock, and at 5×7 inches they might not take up much room under the Christmas tree, but I guarantee you that the photographs from a session with me would be treasured for a lifetime. The icing on the
cake gingerbread man is that you can absolutely use a Chinook Book coupon with my gift certificates. Send me an email today, and I can make sure it’s to you well before Christmas day.
Do you have a favorite gift guide that’s not on my list? Let me know in the comments!
